Perched in the high peaks of the world, the Drachmari exact a cruel price from the “lesser” races for the grace of allowing their continued existence. Man eaters all, they descend upon the lower world every winter to raid for goods and slaves, the latter becoming their meals once their bodies and minds have been broken down by endless toil.

Drachmari society is a soul-crushing collectivist entity that exacts all from the individual, transforming them into an agent of their clan, hundreds of lives weighing on every choice. Vassal clans in servitude to the ruling Kalas often fare no better than the slaves they feast upon, and in the instance that one of them displeases their lord, an entire bloodline may become a meal itself.
