Few peoples can claim the sorrow of the Beast-Folk, their once proud menagerie of chiefdoms whittled to a handful of bitter clans forced into precarious cooperation. Once the rulers of the wild and free world, their existence proved too inconvenient for the civilized races, who pushed the vast majority of them to extinction, and those remaining, to the brink.

Today, the Beast-Folk have sought comfort in the company of their cousins, forming a tender alliance in the ruins of the ancient Pardhan Empire, converting the hollow cities into grand halls and bastions, yet having only a fraction of the number necessary to man them. If not enough, the tribes themselves harangue and spat over trivial territorial claims and blood-prices, rendering their would-be sanctuary a place of riotous discontent.

The Beast-Folk are not doomed yet, but without correction, their course can only lead to a disastrous fall that will be the end of all of them. The only thing that the tribes seem to share irrefutably, is their arrogance.
