Kharkos was the original king of an offshoot of High Elves who caused the collapse of the Elven Empire from within through their worship of the Archdevils/Archdemons of Khanaten in what later became the Khanaten Invasion.  He and his followers later reemerged in Kharkosia to exploit the utopian city-states and kingdoms of the land, as well as inciting the events leading to the collapse of the Dwarven Empire.
