Axiom

Following the aftermath of the Kharnaten Invasion, the followers of Gertrauda, with the assistance of representatives of the surviving nations, formed The Axiom in order to spearhead defensive actions against any and all future invasions. The founding treaty, ceremoniously titled the Axiom of Boughs, binds members to oaths of peace and cooperation while also requiring regular tithing of resources in the form of various resources, manpower, or other forms of assistance. Following the creation of the organization, many states ravaged by the invasion flocked to the Axiom's banner in order to benefit from its policy of mutual protection, leading to an unprecedented era of relative peace known as the Age of Glass.

While the Age of Glass is ongoing, a number of challenges currently besiege the Axiom, the most pressing of which being that the member nations, now a collection of burgeoning kingdoms and territories wishing to expand, question the necessity of their continued tithes now that the Kharnaten threat has faded into the annals of history. While the Axiom has begun mounting expeditions to the distant west to explore the origin of the ancient threat, discontent among the member nations continues to rise, and cracks in the monolithic structure's once-hegemonic power are beginning to form for all to see.
