Summary

  • Physical Description: Broad shouldered and short in stature, with ebony skin and amber eyes. Many bear ritualistic scarring or tattoos and some tribes pierce their face and body. They are Small sized creatures.
  • Personality: Extremely warm, welcoming, friendly, and peaceful, with a proclivity for hospitality, but unafraid to use force to defend their home. They are excellent huntsmen, foragers, and ambushers, utilizing jungle plants and fungi for healing. Experiences with foreign cultures, particularly the Qarai and Kizmeti, are causing a shift toward isolationism.
  • Lands: Mitar, a heavily forested region famous for insurmountable vegetation, incurable diseases, and extremely dangerous mega-fauna. They exist in a symbiosis with the jungle due to their care and consideration for it.
  • Relations: They are allies with the Rangi and on good terms with many Beast-Folk, including the Phasari. Qarai raiders seldom attack due to fear of Rangi reprisal. Relations with the Kizmeti are strained, as the Empire is poised to incorporate their land but is hesitant due to the threat of war with the Rangi and the Miwu Empire. They are reluctant to leave their homes.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good.
  • Religion: Worship the Moyo, a pantheon of natural spirits respective to the creatures and vegetation of their homeland. Shamans revere and rebuke these spirits.
  • Language: Speak Thulani, a unique language.
